Rents hold steady in established neighbourhoods

Asking rents in established neighbourhoods have changed little this season, and many landlords are renewing existing tenants at the same rate rather than risk an empty month.

New buildings with gyms, security and covered parking are the exception, and they are asking noticeably more for comparable sizes.

Tips for tenants

Renew early, offer a longer lease in exchange for a fixed rent, and ask for any agreed repairs to be written into the renewal.
